St. John Paul II Catholic High School

St. John Paul II Catholic High School, opened in 2018 in Avondale, AZ by the Diocese of Phoenix, is a co-ed, college-preparatory liberal arts high school (grades 9-12) serving ~333 students with a 13:1 ratio. Rooted in Jesus Christ under the patronage of St. John Paul II and Our Lady of Guadalupe, its mission fosters a personal encounter with Christ via prayer, study, community, and service. Led by Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia (Nashville Dominicans) and Principal Sr. Mary Jordan Hoover, O. P., it offers a unique 4-year philosophy program, AP courses, dual-credit partnership with Grand Canyon University, athletics (Lions; teal/black), and a 6-house system named after saints promoting competition in academics, sports, and spirit.
